We recently partnered with artist Holli Zollinger on a brand new boho-inspired collection (shop it here!). We immediately thought of The Landsby, a dog-friendly boutique hotel in Solvang, CA, as a dream location to photograph the new collection.

About The Landsby:
This stunning boutique hotel is located in the heart of Solvang, a charming town known for being the "Danish Capital of America" because of its rich Danish heritage. Filled with quaint thatched roofs, windmills, and delicious pastries, Solvang is also a great place to travel with your dog. There are plenty of outdoor restaurants, pet-friendly wine tasting rooms, and hotels like The Landsby who welcome dogs.
We first learned about The Landsby when we partnered with them on squeaky toys for their four-legged guests. We couldn't get enough of the hotel's beautiful contemporary, Scandinavian design aesthetic and it's always been a dream of ours to do a photoshoot on their property.

We worked with our photographer Kristen Smith, the owner of Veils & Tails Photography to shoot in this awesome space. She helped us find the paw-fect dog models named Coco, Reggie, Magnus, and Penny. We started by shooting in the lobby area, which was filled with beautifully decorated nooks and crannies.

Next, the hotel let us shoot in their pet-friendly Junior Suite. It was a beautiful and spacious room with direct access to their courtyard.

We ended the shoot outside in the courtyard. Not only did Magnus overheat a bit (see tongue 🤪), we even got Coco's mom to model our new scrunchie set. How cute are these two?!

It was 90 degrees in Solvang and Magnus was overheating a bit.
